I spy with my little eye one of our Emily’s House rugs in this stunning London loft done by the incredibly talented interior designer Beata Heuman, known for her unique and imaginative approach to design.

This vibrant and eclectic library space is characterised by a playful blend of colours and textures, merging traditional items like one of our vintage rugs with contemporary elements, resulting in this distinctive and timeless interior.

Purple, Lavender, Lilac, Indigo, Violet, Plum…

Purple is undoubtedly a captivating and unique colour that can add a touch of luxury, creativity and sophistication to any interior space. However, it is also considered a challenging colour in interior design because it is less versatile than other colours. When using purple it’s important to get the saturation right, creating a soothing and calming atmosphere with lighter shades while adding drama and opulence by using deeper shades!

A solid lavender or lilac rug can provide a subtle pop of color without overwhelming the clean lines and simplicity of the design. On the other hand, a deep plum or eggplant rug can complement traditional or vintage-inspired interiors, adding a touch of sophistication.

When it comes to pairing purple rugs with other colours, purple works exceptionally well with neutrals such as white, cream, and grey, creating a harmonious and balanced combination. For a bolder statement, you can mix purple with complementary colors, such as yellow or green, for a vibrant and eclectic look. Whichever color scheme you choose, a purple rug will undoubtedly create an unforgettable visual impact.
