Kilim Rugs

Kilim, Kelim, gelim

Kilim rugs, also known as a flatweaves, show a decisive difference to hand knotted rugs. They do not have a pile of wool on one side and as such they are much lighter and thinner than pile rugs.

Kilims are a popular choice for hallways, entryways and other high-traffic areas as they are strong and resistant to wear and tear. Their flat-woven texture makes them a great choice for dining areas too as this allows chairs to slide in and out without catching.

Our vintage kilims are hand-picked for their unique beauty and come in a range of sizes, from small accent rugs to large area rugs. They are most often used as decorative pieces providing a bohemian or eclectic accent.  Every piece is handwoven and a unique work of art that tells a story of the cultural and artistic heritage of its maker.

Our made-to-measure flat-weaves come in a range of geometric designs from minimal long vertical stripes to a herringbone motif. All kilims are made with hand-dyed wool to make it stand out from mass-produced yarns, achieving different levels of colour saturation to create a more sophisticated and rich texture.
